Well, hello there!
It's been a while, hasn't it?
First, let me pull up a chair, grab my coffee (which I've probably reheated three times already), and catch you up on a few things.
If you've been wondering where I've disappeared to, I promise I haven't fallen into a mysterious hole in the backyard. Although, considering some of the characters I've been working with lately, I wouldn't rule that out entirely!
The truth is, life happened.
And then life happened some more.
There have been some medical challenges that required my attention, a few unexpected detours, and those wonderful little moments when life decides your carefully organized plans are apparently just suggestions.
You know the ones.
The moments when your to-do list looks at you, laughs, and quietly walks away.
Through it all, one thing has remained unchanged.
My family will always come first.
Before the books, before the planners, before the website, and before every creative idea that pops into my head at two in the morning, there are the people who matter most to me.
Sometimes that means putting everything else on hold. Sometimes it means slowing down, rearranging priorities, or accepting that there simply aren't enough hours in the day.
And that's okay.
Because Rawberrybugs was never meant to be about racing to the finish line. It was meant to be about creating something meaningful, something imaginative, and something that could grow alongside the life I'm living.
So, What Have I Been Doing?
Well, besides drinking questionable amounts of coffee and wondering where the hours disappear to...
I've been building worlds!
Not just writing stories, but creating places where those stories can come to life.
I've spent countless hours designing, rearranging, changing my mind, starting over, and occasionally staring at my computer wondering why something that worked perfectly five minutes ago has suddenly decided not to cooperate.
And yes, there may have been some colourful language involved.
But slowly, piece by piece, something wonderful began taking shape.
🌳 Welcome to Our Backyard!
Our Backyard has grown into so much more than the pages of a children's book.
Jet and Luna are ready to welcome you into their world, where curious little explorers can discover the creatures who share our surroundings, uncover backyard mysteries, and learn that even the smallest visitor has a story worth telling.
You'll meet some familiar faces, discover a few new surprises, and perhaps even spot a mysterious shadow lurking among the trees.
But I'm not saying anything more about that just yet!
Some mysteries are better left for little explorers to discover.
☕ A Little Haven by the Water
For those who have been following The Haven, there's a special place waiting for you, too.
A cozy room, a warm fire, the sound of the ocean beyond the window, and a story about finding somewhere to belong.
The Haven has always held a special place in my heart, and being able to bring a little piece of that world to life has been an experience all its own.
Pull up a chair, settle in, and stay a while.
There's always room for one more.
🌸 And Something Else Is Growing...
Of course, I couldn't stop at books!
There are planners in the works, handmade treasures being imagined, and enough creative ideas floating around my office to keep me busy for quite some time.
Our Garden Market isn't quite ready to open its doors yet, but you can already take a peek at where it will be.
After all, even the most beautiful gardens need a little time to grow.
🎙️ Coffee, Chaos & Catching Up — Pull Up a Chair!
And because apparently writing books, creating planners, raising a family, and building an entire website weren't enough to keep me busy...
I've decided to add a microphone to the chaos!
That's right!
Coffee, Chaos & Catching Up is my newest adventure, and if all goes according to plan (which, let's face it, is always a dangerous thing to say around here), the very first episode will be arriving November 6th, 2026!
So, what's it all about?
Life.
The messy, beautiful, exhausting, hilarious, and sometimes downright ridiculous moments that make us who we are.
We'll talk about parenting, relationships, finding ourselves, navigating life's unexpected detours, and those moments when all you can do is laugh because crying would just ruin your coffee.
There will be stories, laughter, honest conversations, and probably a few moments when I completely forget what I was talking about.
Because, well... that's life!

Building Rawberrybugs has been a labour of love, and there have certainly been days when that labour felt a little heavier than others.
But I kept going.
Not always quickly. Not always according to plan. And definitely not always with a fresh cup of coffee.
But I kept going.
And that brings me to the reason I'm writing this today.

Absolutely not!
And that's part of the beauty of it.
This website is meant to grow. New stories will arrive, familiar characters will have more to share, mysteries will unfold, and new creations will find their way into the Garden Market.
