If you've visited Rawberrybugs lately, you've probably noticed things look a little different around here.
The doors are temporarily closed while I move some things around, build a few new spaces, rearrange some shelves…and apparently construct an entire fictional town. 😂
But while the rest of Rawberrybugs is still under construction, I couldn't resist opening one little door early.
Actually, you have to find it first.
There's a book waiting somewhere along the path.

It will take you somewhere new.

This isn't meant to be another page where you scroll through information about a book. I wanted to create somewhere you could actually explore.
So when you enter the room, look around.
Click things.
Be curious.
Some things will take you somewhere.
Some things won't.
At least…not yet. 😉
You might find a way to read the opening pages of The Haven: The East. You might discover what's happening around Harbor's End. You might even find yourself looking out a window and getting your first glimpse of the town itself.
I'm not going to tell you where everything is.
That would ruin the fun.
A Little Note About The Harbor's End Chronicle
While you're exploring, you may stumble across a copy of The Harbor's End Chronicle.
The Chronicle is where the fictional world of The Haven meets the real one.
Anything specifically about Harbor's End—its residents, businesses, community happenings and local stories—is fictional. Harbor's End itself is a fictional Nova Scotia town created for The Haven series.
But when you turn the pages and venture beyond Harbor's End, you'll also find real-world Nova Scotia and Canadian information—events, festivals, news, weather, history and other little pieces of life happening outside our fictional town.
So yes, you can enjoy the gossip from Harbor's End. 😂
Just remember:
Harbor's End = fiction.
Nova Scotia & Canada = real-world information.
And every month, a new issue will give you another little peek into what's happening inside—and outside—the world of The Haven.
And Then There Are the Easter Eggs…
Some are already hiding in plain sight.
Others won't mean anything until later.
As The Haven series grows, The World of The Haven will grow with it.
New places will open.
Things in the room may suddenly become clickable.
Harbor's End will change.
New stories will leave little pieces of themselves behind.
So if you visit today and something doesn't do anything…
you may want to try it again another day.
And yes, I fully expect some of you to start clicking absolutely everything now. 😂
That's kind of the point.
This is only the beginning of what Rawberrybugs is becoming. Eventually there will be more books on the path, more worlds to enter, more places to explore and plenty of little secrets tucked away for those who go looking.
But right now, there's one world waiting for you.
And the timing couldn't be better because…

Two. More. Sleeps.
After all the writing, rewriting, editing, formatting, proof copies, late nights, coffee, occasional colourful language 😂 and watching this little world slowly come to life…
We're almost there.
